Denim Quilt For My Daughter

A lot of the time I get really worried about my daughter at college for all kinds of different reasons, like if she's getting enough sleep, enough healthy food and if she's comfortable in her dorm room. So I thought that maybe for Christmas I should get her something that would ensure that she is comfortable in her dorm. She had told me that it was draftier than she thought, so I decided to make a quilt for her.

I'd never made one before, so I went online to try and find a really easy idea for one that I could pull off before Christmas. While I was searching for that online, I ran across the website http://www.WirelessInternet.net and signed up for one of the home internet packages that I found on there.

The idea that I liked the best was this DIY denim quilt that I thought would go really well with what she already has up in her dorm. Plus, it would put to good use all of the old jeans that I've been waiting to donate to Goodwill.

Winter Storm Attacks East Coast

This was taken late afternoon today. Though we currently experiencing a winter storm but for us the party at my friends house must go on. The house of my friend is just 15 minutes drive away from the house but we took almost 30 minutes to get there because of the bad weather. The road was so scary and dangerous for it was very slippery. Not only that we are in zero visibility. Woooahhhh, anyway I thank God for we come home safe. Maybe if the weather is good today I bet we are still at the party and enjoying the rest of the day.

  



Something for the Birthday Celebrant

This coming December 26, Sunday is the birthday of my friend's son. We are invited to come and celebrate with them. I was wondering on what to give on their 10 year old son. While thinking for the presents I try to do online and suddenly I landed on these helpful site. Actually their stuff is perfectly for boys so I indeed happy to see this one. I consult my husband on the different choices they have and we settle down to purchase the RC Cars. At first my choice is the helicopter since it was very cute to look at but still my I have to honor my husbands choice. It wasn't bad anyway and indeed the price is right suited for young children. I love to come back and shop this site again and eventually my husband said that he is going to purchase toy cars as well for my three nephews in Philippines.

Christmas Novel I Can Enjoy

I guess that it's good that kids don't mind reading the same books over and over again because I'd spend half of my salary on books otherwise. My kids are always begging me to read books with them and I don't mind doing that but it gets a little boring because I can basically recite most of their books. That goes double for the Christmas books too because they aren't that complicated and pretty basic for Christmas books.

I thought that I would give myself a fresh breath of Christmas air and find a Christmas book to read myself. But I didn't want to find one that was too cheesy. I wanted to read something with a decent plotline that didn't completely rely on the holiday. When I was looking for that I ran across the website www.clearwirewimax4g.com and read through it. I thought about it some and then switched over my internet service to the provider.

I realize that was probably a tall order to fill for a little Christmas book, but I found this one called Two Tickets to the Christmas Ball and I'm really enjoying it so far.

Safety Is Important During The Holidays

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. However, bad things still happen. It is important to follow some safety tips during the holidays. From shopping to decorating there are potential dangers everywhere during the holidays. Here are some tips you should follow to ensure you and your family have a safe holiday season.

When you are shopping, make sure you lock your cars and hide valuables such as GPS systems in your glove compartment. Put your shopping bags in your trunk so that you don't attract potential thieves. It is also a good idea to limit the amount of cash you are carrying at a given time. Stores are very crowded and it is easy for someone to swipe your purse or wallet. Once you are home store your gifts in a safe place in the house so that nothing bad will happen to them.

While decorating, make sure you follow certain guidelines. This is especially true with lights. Lights can only be stranded together so much. Typically you can only connect three strands of a hundred lights together. Overdoing it could mean a blown fuse or even worse an electrical fire. If you use candles, make sure you place them a safe distance from anything flammable.

If you are traveling for the holidays it is important to take care of your house. I always set my home alarm system from Best Home Security when I am away from home to protect my house from any potential robberies. I also make sure I have the heat turned off and the lights on a timer so that nothing bad will happen.

Something Great To Grab

My family loves to watch movies. Would you believed if I will say that we always spend $5-$10 bucks every week  for DVD's? Yes indeed we are. Especially when my husbands off thats the time we bond each other together with our one and only daughter. Just in time last week one of my neighbor told me on what they discovered. Well, I like it and readily download the link as well in my computer so that I could go the site anytime as I want to. Yes, it is free and nothing to pay anything. You can access any movies, games and etc. for free. Since I am eager to saved starting next year I am very happy that atleast I cannot spend much anymore with DVD's at any store. Aside from that my child would not forced us anymore to purchase games for her because anytime she can play game torrents online as long as she wanted to. This is a big help for us and I can say that time is good to me and helping even wiser. In order for us to watch in the big screen I just simply connect my laptop in the big television to view it more clearly and a wide vision. better grab it and try for it can saved a lot for our budget.  

Can Be Trusted

We are very proud with the attainment of my other first degree cousin who is now succesfull in his choosen field. You know what by the very first year of his career people started to love and trust his ability of being a lawyer. I know sounds not easy but that's what he like. Some people would hate him and some like him, very understandable feeling right. We cousins are afraid the most because he is inclined in criminal laws so more on criminal clients. Everytime he has trials to defends in the court he always have chapperoned for the reason of many death rates received. That's normal especially in his field. Sometimes we even made a joke that we will just count his days, lol. Just like the criminal law firms Georgetown thay are very known in the state. Something that you can lean on accordingly if you deal some problems in your life. They will not let you down and always at your side from start to finish of the arraignment. And most of all according to many they comfortable to be with that could feel you at ease.

May You Rest In Peace

The cousin of my husband who just turned 21st has passed away last Monday evening in Cebu, Philippines. Everyone in the clan is mourning with the sad lost. Well, we cannot do something about it anymore because as we all know our life is just borrowed and all we have to do is live with it temporarily in this world. My two aunt flew right away last wednesday straight to Cebu to support their brother's sad lost. Our uncle is very sad because his one and only son was dead by the time of his vacation. Our uncle is currently living at California and until now couldn't believed what had happened in their family. It was very tragic death, nobody knows that he is sick because he made it secret by himself so that people might not get worried on him. Only a friend told them that lately in school he just noticed his close friend complaining his chest and breathing. A simply as that until when his father arrives for vacation only a couple of days he waved goodbye without single thought. I know he is happy now together with our saviour. May he rest in peace and our prayers are with him.

A Visit to 34 Street!

Every year, my husband Tom and I watch a few of our holiday classics that we have always enjoyed throughout our lives. We also enjoy several of the holiday classics from the past several decades. One of our all-time favorites is Miracle on 34th Street. It's a movie that we've enjoyed for years and years--we usually watch it in early December to help get us in the mood for the holidays. It's always been a special little tradition that Tom and I have had with our kids. Some of our other faves? A Christmas Story, and It's a Wonderful Life.

This year, I was downtown purchasing Hearing Aids when I received a wonderful call from Tom. As a retirement present, he got us two tickets for a long weekend in New York City! Tom says he wants to take us to see the holiday displays in the city, and that we are going to go to 34th street in Herald Square! It's going to be really exciting to see the setting for one of our favorite movies of all time. This trip will will provide for one of the most memorable Christmases we've had together, probably ever. Can the 25th just hurry up and come already?

Nice and Elegant

I am thinking of changing my style in making a birthday invitation for my child next year. I don't want to buy instantly in the store anymore. All I want is to make my own style and choice. I can do everything possible through online of course. There are a lot of style and could even customized it on what I like. While checking all the samples I also notice some cute cards. As what I've said in my previous post that my brother way back home is going to build his little business. So with this I am encouraging my brother to look for styles on business cards online. I'm pretty sure he could choose according on his taste. It was indeed stylish and elegant in styles. It wasn't expensive and yet very affordable. I'm already excited for my brothers little business and hopefully it will grow smoothly without too much headaches.

My Sleepy Head

Normally my little darling will take a nap after I will sing her a couple of songs but this time around she doesn't request everyday anymore. Especially when her daddy bought a new jewelry box she just wanted to listen the song that could probably replaced my lullabies. Though she slept by herself I cannot resist not to lay down beside her of course. She is my one and only child. I will not waste any moment not to be around her. I treasured every moment as my daughter grows to a bigger kid. My life would not be great without her. I love you my baby girl and hopefully you will grow into a fine young woman in the future. We are just around to guide you all the way.

Perfect Getaway Plans

My cousins from other foreign countries invited me to take part in joining on a trip for next year. This is some kind of family bonding among choosen friends and relatives abroad. I'm the only one who haven't visit the place yet since they keep on traveling several places already. They are inviting us to take part HomeAway Holiday-Rentals. The best season to make this happened is gonna be during summer season of next year and perfect also for the celebration of my one and only daughter's birthday. I am excited to explore different places around the globe. I want to relax and unwind while exploring white sand beaches given by our mother nature. It's gonna be my grandest vacation next year probably and I can't wait to make it happened. By now only my cousins plan for everything about our stay during holidays in Puerto Pollensa. All I checked is our accomodation during our stay. I can't believed on their current cost on lodging. It is very affordable especially in group bookings.The prices mostly varies and good for one week stay.

I just hope next year is gonna be great for me. I need more extra income to spend on my travel and enjoy with it to the fullest. As I watching and looking the Spain travel guide I already feel the fun and excitement inside of me. Lots of places to go from different parks, amusement, beaches and hotels in Spain. So by now I'm on a tight budget saving for next years vacation. Hoping that everything will ends great and fun.

Needs Attention

Everyday a lot of things happened, some are expected but mostly unexpected. Well as what they've said life is sometimes unfair but that's the way and could lead us to a better person. Through life experiences I believed that it's the mean formula to be strong and fight whatever life may bring in the future. You know what yesterday I just found out that one of my batchmates needs attention, care and financial assistance. He got sick very badly and needs support from the people around him. I don't really know what happened but as what they've said he is currently undergo a  mesothelioma treatment as of now. One of my friend told me that as per his family the treatment was too late on his conditions. So by now, just to make him happy we schoolmates give a little donations for him. Some are visiting him, bringing gifts and some are just hanging around him. People just let him feel that were just around him in his battle. Hopefully, the Lord above will gave him miracle and more years to live. Our life is not really ours but we just borrowed it for the meantime so we have to live our life to the fullest while we are alive.

My Day

I'm so thankful the day my mother give birth her 5th child and that was absolutely me. Since I was young I'm used having a simple celebrations during birthday. Maybe for the reason that we are 6th in the family and only my father is working, so just right for all of us no more no less. Oh my, I'm out in the calendar already but the feeling is still the same just like before marriage, lol. Anyway, in my life now I just wished good health in family here and abroad. More blessings to come in my family and verlasting love and happiness. I was born simply so I just need a simple life with imperfections in life.

Wedding

The worst wedding I went to was for one of my roommates from college. I hadn't been to too many weddings in my lifetime and the one's I had been to were for older folks and whatnot. Since this wedding was for younger folks, I was expecting to see something more in tune with what I had seen in the movies. Something that actually seemed like it could be at least a little fun instead of an hour long cheese fest. Instead, it turned into a day long cheese fest in which I fell asleep at. I guess that's what I get for going to a wedding I had no business attending.

I actually first met the dude when I was living in the school dormitory. I didn't really know him very well at the time because he lived on a different floor and basically spent all his time with his girlfriend. With a mutual friend, the three of us decided to live in an apartment together along with two other friends of mine. While we were roommates, I was a little surprised to be invited to his wedding seeing as how we barely hung out outside of house meetings and the like. Anyway we didn't know anyone there since all the other guests who were not family were invited by his bride to be. All they did was talk about her life for hours on end. I'm glad I remembered to set the home security alarm from Securitychoice.com/ before I went because that thing lasted forever.

Perfect Designs

My brother way back home is going to start his small business. A business that is perfectly suited for a simple family man with dreams. I believed that it is better to start in a small one before reaching at the top. I'm excited too because they will start this coming January 2011. This business will be owned by all of us sibling but only my brother will run for it. We just give him support and financial matters. We didn't come up with the logo yet. All we did foe now are l finalizing ang voting whats the best in our Logo Design Samples available. Hopefully next week everything is ready and final. We have lots of choice to choose from. Running a small business is also a gamble in behalf of the stockholders for we don't know yet if whether it will become successful or not. No worries anyway because we start at the bottom not too much nor very small.  

Gaining More Knowledge

Now I fully understand other ways how to work or get better about networking. Just like me I am now interested to master related job about networking. Just like in Chicago CCNA they trained individuals to do an extensive training about it. You will get a lot with it and later you will know how to configure, install and dial access services for small networks. This is quiet interesting I bet. Just like Chicago,  San Diego CCNA offers the same as well. It's very promising right knowing that in a very short period you will be highly needed in any prestigious companies to work with them. Not just one certificate that you've going to earned but dual certification. In todays world, it is widely common that IT is everywhere and we need it from now on. No wonder mostly young people taking IT courses. It has been widespread  that Virginia Cisco Course is the top now among individuals. You will just finished it by a short period of months and later companies will look for you to help them run in their businesses. Having an extensive training regarding this matter is a great idea.

I've read more articles already and I'm amazed on how they get through it. They are running trainings all over the country and one state that could be a great example is Virginia MCITP. You can see all famous server administrator in this area if you happened to look for one. If we want to step a little higher we should believed in ourselves. Education never stops, so why not try more options like these and be trained.

My Favorite Christmas Song

I just wanted to share with you guys my favorite song ever since I've learned how to love, comfort other people, and understand the real meaning of life. It is very much different when you grown-up perfectly because things change, beliefs change and ourselves transform to a better person. We only become better by the time we pass our trials in life. Through it understanding and acceptance is the most important lesson in life. Just be what you are and show what's best we have to everyone. Nobody else around would say that she doesn't experienced life's trials for everyone get through with it. To tell you honestly mommies out there as per myself, it's better to buy and share something to someone else especially my family back home. They need more support compare with myself. This coming Christmas I don't wish anything for myself but rather save money to share for my parents, brothers, sisters , nieces and nephews in Philippines. I'd like to be a good example firstly in the eyes of my child. I don't expect her to follow everything but atleast just few of them. Happy holidays everyone.



Mel Gibson and Danny Glover Go Boom!

Lethal Weapon is one of my favorite action movies. Mel Gibson stars as burnout, loose cannon cop, Martin Riggs, recovering from the tragic death of his wife. Danny Glover is the aging detective, devoted husband and father, Roger Murtaugh. Forced to partner together, the two personalities immediately clash in a comical way. They investigate the murder of a teen-aged girl, who happens to be the daughter of an old Vietnam buddy of Murtaugh's. Riggs, also a Vietnam vet, did assassination work with the Special Forces. As the two men dig deeper into the case their prime witness is killed in an explosion. Another witness identifies the culprits as also being Special Forces types, just like Riggs. This leads the detectives back to Murtaugh's Vietnam buddy. He reveals that he's been working with an ex-CIA group smuggling heroin into the United States and that they killed his daughter to keep him quiet. The mercenaries kidnap Murtaugh's daughter and attempt to murder Riggs in an effort to stop their investigation. In a big action climax, the pair rescue Murtaugh's daughter, escape capture and ultimately stop the mercenaries. My favorite quote from the film is when Murtaugh says to Riggs “I guess we'll have to register you as a lethal weapon.”The great thing about watching movie like Lethal Weapon on satellite TV from http://www.directstartv.com/localchannels/Oregon/ is the picture quality.

Useful and Helpful Ideas

I am somewhat excited for the coming new year. Excited in the since that we are going to moved out here and going to other state for a change. Hopefully it would push through without any change of plans. My husband and I decided to transfer at Austin as our next spot to live. By this plan to move, we agreed that we will change our homestyle. We are going to set house rules in order to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the house. First thing is that about sofa upholstery cleaning austin. I know that cleanliness start within ourselves first so I will be more strict with it. Even now I started teaching my child that it is not advisable to eat and drink anywhere in the house. We moms cannot clean stain by ourselves and should need probably by help of the professionals for stain and odor removal austin so that our furnitures and fixtures shoudn't ruined one time.

Since Texas has different weather as to compare here we see to it as well that we can get the good insurances for our property.
